It really doesn’t matter what we are talking about, when it comes to our kids, we want to make decisions that are going to benefit them – both in the short term and in the long term.

It is difficult to come up with a down side to learning a second language. If there is a downside, it has not been adequately reported!  The benefits are numerous and cannot be disputed.

We are truly fortunate to have this magnificent opportunity available for our children here in Westlock! Most parents of children enrolled in FI are English speaking, and most do not speak any French. In fact, the program was designed for children of non French speaking parents!

This site is an ongoing project to provide information about Canadian Parents for French to parents of children currently enrolled in French Immersion in Westlock, and for parents considering FI for their children.
